Travel Diary #3: Jeeva Beloam Beach Camp, Southeast Lombok

Tuesday 31 March 2015

March has been such an eventful and great month - I've landed my first job (hurray!!!), had the honour of being a bridesmaid for the first time at my best friend's wedding in Jakarta and not to mention traveling for the last time as a fresh graduate before work started.

The first stop for Pierre and I was at Southeast Lombok where we both had the privilege to stay in a traditional Pantai Beruga aka hut for the first time courtesy of Jeeva Beloam Beach Camp. The journey to get there was quite a tiresome one though - we arrived there only after about an hour and a half of bumpy car ride from Lombok's airport! But on hindsight, it was completely worth it because Jeeva Beloam Beach Camp also known as the "The Soul of Beloam" is easily one of the few untouched places in the world. The lush greenery and private powdery white sand beach right at our doorstep were everything we needed to wind down and enjoy our holiday.

Jeeva Beloam's Clubhouse

All Pantai Berugas situated deep in a 55-hectare nature forest preserve

The Reception area... loving the rustic decor!

The way to our hut from the clubhouse!

By then, we couldn't wait to step into our very own Pantai Beruga!

AND FINALLY! Home for the next 3 days :)

The view from our porch; facing the Timor Sea.

Time for a dip at our private beach - wearing a baroque printed Etam bikini set

Day 2:

Woke up to a spectacular view and the sound of waves crashing

The main dining area where all our meals were served (all-inclusive)

My favourite Koko Krunch cereal, fresh watermelon juice and toast - the first few dishes of our hearty breakfast

The way to the beach for our kayaking and snorkeling activities!

Headed to Pink Beach for a romantic sunset picnic

Returned to our cosy Pantai Beruga :)

Day 3:

Taking in the last bit of Jeeva Beloam, didn't want to leave this place ):

Easily the best destination we've travelled so far; Jeeva Beloam Beach Camp occupies one of the most spectacular natural settings in Lombok. It was such an unforgettable unique beachfront camping experience, living in a traditional hut that reflected the architectural traditions and cultural diversity of Indonesia. Definitely top on my recommendation list for couples who want to escape the hustle and bustle.

Thanks a million Jeeva Beloam Beach Camp.
