Collaboration #2: K.BLU Swim x SiPei

Thursday, 7 August 2014

SiPei, Student

She is unabashedly confident in her own skin and possesses that bright disposition that so many covet. Currently spending her days in Singapore Management University (SMU) majoring in Corporate Communications, SiPei flutters effortlessly around social events and it seems that nobody can resist her alluring charm. This really comes as no surprise - she moves with an elegance that transcends her age, and a presence that is elevated with that amazing smile and scintillating twinkle in her eye.

SiPei wears Azure Sky Blue Corset.

Since you are already in your last semester in school, are you ready for the working life?
I honestly cannot wait to step into the working world but then again people have been telling me to enjoy studying while I can and that I’ll take back what I said once I start working… I hope they are wrong! (laughs)

Which three qualities in a person do you value most?
Resilience, commitment and integrity.

Anything else you would like to share about yourself? Perhaps a motto you live by?
“If you want the rainbow, you have to deal with the rain”.

Success to you is…
Doing something I love and doing it well!

SiPei wears Azure Sky Blue Corset.

Where do you see yourself in five years time?
Having established something on the sideline with my sister and hopefully planning to get married! (laughs)

What’s an ideal holiday like for you?
Travelling with someone or the people I love without a budget and having all the time in the world to do so.

What’s your must-have beach accessory?
Sunglasses!

Where would you like to visit next?
The Amalfi Coast in Italy or Melbourne!

Travel Diary #2: The mountains are calling, I got to go.

Sunday, 3 August 2014

A surreal weekend in Queenstown & Wanaka and I've left a part of my heart in the snow-capped mountains. In an attempt to 'immortalize' the memory, I printed it down on paper inspired by my first homemade glass of Hendrick's Gin in my first airbnb apartment:

Travel Diary #1: Pimann Buri Resort & Spa, Aonang Krabi

Monday, 30 June 2014

A while ago, I was given the privilege to stay in the beautiful newly-opened resort, Pimann Buri Resort & Spa in Aonang, Krabi. Beach holidays have always been my favourite so you can imagine the excitement when I first got the news :)

Here's an intriguing little fact about the resort's name - Pimann Buri means “Heavenly City” in Sanskrit and the resort lived up to its name for sure. Each villa was designed according to the mystical Thai belief that there are six levels of heaven: Catummaharaja, Catu Trayastrimsa, Yama, Tusita, Naimmanarati and Parimmitarasavatti. To add to the exclusivity of the resort, Pimann Buri was located in a secluded stretch of Krabi 40 minutes away from the Airport and 20 minutes away from Aonang Beach's hustle & bustle.

Our Villa was beautiful and had everything Pierre and I needed. We were lucky to wake up each morning to lovely weather and absolute tranquility. We spent our afternoons soaking in the outdoor pool, talking about our aspirations and in the evenings, we took quiet strolls along the beach.

With such peaceful surroundings, Pimann Buri was the perfect place for Pierre and I to disconnect from technology and make it a point to be present for each other. At the end of our short trip, we returned home feeling pretty rejuvenated and ready to face the new semester :)

Both Pierre and I are truly grateful to Pimann Buri Resort & Spa for such an unforgettable experience. Now every other beach holiday will have to come close to the 'heavenly' standards of Pimann Buri ;) - if anyone has suggestions for our next getaway, I'd love to hear from you!
